There are moments in life which cause me
to cuss uncontrollably .
The above photo is not me, but rather a representation of what caused said cussing on Tuesday afternoon.
I looked just like this. I know I did.
This sweet little girl and I got tangled up in quite a mess
with each other.
With help from a rolling chair,
I was launched into the entry way past the piano and not quite to the wood floors which would have felt much better than the cold hard tile.
Faceplant.
Landing gear not down.
Flaps didn't hold.
No crew for emergency landing.
Slow motion
holy shit moment.
You get the picture.
I'm nursing my ouchies.
Magoo is gonna make up for my road trip rescue
this weekend.
He only had to come downstairs for mine.
Baby girl wasn't hurt, but I think Henry probably laughed like hell at the sight of us.
I would have. I'm mean like that.
I don't know whether I was an I Love Lucy moment
or an episode of Jack Ass.
But, I would have laughed.
Sophie was traumatized so she feels better if she's in bed, too.
We'll be there a few more days with our friend
Ice Ice Baby.
(now you sing it, Gwen)
Send fried chicken and Waldorf salad.
Cupcakes wouldn't hurt, either.
oh dear me (dear you, actually!) big sigh...
ReplyDeleteLOL- We have ALL had a few moments like that in our lives! Hope you aren't scarred for life- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteTina,
ReplyDeleteOuch!! Looks "funnily" painful!
Honest, I wouldn't have laughed, at least not till you looked away!
Hope you didn't do to much damage and are feeling better soon!
Rebecca
PS. I'd gladly put on my apron, cook you some chicken, make a salad, bake up some cupcakes, and send it your way, that is, if I did that stuff!

Ouch x's ten! I had to look away from the pictures I can just imagine how you two must have looked. Glad your are o.k.
ReplyDeleteOH NO!! I remember tripping so bad one time as I was walking into a grocery store. My body contorted into ways I did not know possible. The adrenaline caused by the embarrassment helped me jump up quickly, but later I realized the wounds I had. Get better, and yes your hubby does owe you one for the key delivery ;)
ReplyDeleteI usually laugh 'til I have tears running down my leg, but not if I know someone is hurt. So sorry you got tangled up and tossed. Hope you feel better soon.

You know, those pics are dang funny, but it's not so funny when it happens to you! I feel for you...I hurt my back while loading 3 antique chairs into the back on my car last Sunday (those chairs were worth it, though, lol) so the heating pad has been my best friend this week. I wish you a speedy recovery and try to have a fabulous weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh Tina! I hope you are ok! Corgis don't understand that people are vertically challenged. It's a long way down to the ground for us. They barely skim fresh cut grass. Glad you both are on the mend. I teach my volleyball players how to dive and roll on hard surfaces without getting hurt. Maybe I could give you some pointers? Hopefully Magoo will nurse you back to health. Feel better!
